Bad Beat

Banker

Bankroll

Barred / Banned

Beef

Beginner’s Luck
A theory that new players have more luck than old players.

Bet
Staking money in a casino.

Bet Levels

Bet Max

Big Blind
A fee paid by a player to see the flop in a poker round.

BlackJack

Blind Bet
Made by players who doesn’t look at their cards.

Blinds
A fee which players need to pay in each poker hand before the “Flop” has been shown.

Bluff
“Bluff” by betting high stakes with a bad hand.

Boat
Poker slang, “Full House”.

Bonus Game

Bonus Money
Virtual Money which has to be wagered X times before it is transformed to real money.

Bookie
A person who is allowing bets.

Brit Brag

Buck
A $100 wager.

Bug
Synonym for Joker.

Bump

Burn Card

Bust
22 or more points in Blackjack results in a “Bust” (a loss).

Camouflage
A player with a disguise. Acting drunk or high for example.

Capping
Bet amounts exceeding the set bet levels, Capping is considered cheating.

Card Counting
Counting value of played cards to have an “Edge” against the Casino.

Card Shark
An expert card player.

Card Washing
Shuffling technique. Spread out all cards face down on the table. The Card Washing shuffle is used to eliminate consistencies in the cards.

Carousel
Group of slot machines.

Carpet Joint
A luxury gambling casino.

Case Money
Emergency money.

Cashback / Cash Back
Cashback based on a certain percentage of deposited or lost amounts in bonus and/or real money.

Cashier

Cut Card

Dealer
The person in a casino who is dealing the cards to players or spin the roulette wheel.

Dealer Button
Clarifies the position of the Dealer since cards are dealt clockwise starting from the dealer’s left.

Deposit
Topping up money to the casino.

Deuces Wild Poker
A video poker game where number 2 is a wild card.

Dime Bet
A $1000 stake.

Discard
Rejecting dealt cards while asking for new ones.

Discard Tray
Where the dealer store used/burnt cards.

Dog
A weak player who is likely to lose.

Dog Player
A player who bets on the underdog.

Double Down
A Blackjack feature where you ask for 1 more card only while re-raising the bet with 100%.

Double or Nothing
A function where a player can re-stake the winnings to double them, or lose them.

Dozens Bet

Drop
